OMAHA - The Kansas City Royals announced a transaction that affects their Triple-A affiliate Omaha Storm Chasers roster prior to tonight's series-opening matchup against the Oklahoma City Dodgers at Werner Park.

Outfielder Rey Fuentes has been placed on the Disabled List, retroactive to April 26. Over his five games with the Storm Chasers this season, the Puerto Rico native has posted a .200 average (3-15), adding five runs and one RBI, in addition to six walks and a .429 on-base percentage. Fuentes earlier in the week no April 24 recorded a walk-off RBI single in the tenth inning to defeat the Colorado Sky Sox 6-5.

Fuentes began the 2016 campaign on the Royals' Opening Day roster and started on Opening Night against the New York Mets. In six games with Kansas City, the 25-year-old hit .238 (5-21) with three RBI, including back-to-back two-hit games between April 11-16.

The first place Storm Chasers are set to face off against the Dodgers to begin a four-game series at Werner Park, with first pitch scheduled for 6:35 p.m. RHP Miguel Almonte (0-2, 3.60) is slated to take the hill for Omaha, while Oklahoma City is anticipated to give the nod to RHP Zach Lee (3-0, 1.56).
