O'Brien Loaned to Binghamton

Wichita, KS (March 23rd) - The Wichita Thunder, ECHL affiliate of the Ottawa Senators and powered by Toyota, announced today that forward Zach O'Brien has been loaned to the American Hockey League's Binghamton Senators.

O'Brien, 24, has appeared in 24 games for the Thunder, recording 19 points (6g, 13a). He came to Wichita in early January and made an immediate impact, recording six points in his first four games (2g, 4a).

A native of St. John's, Newfoundland, the 5-foot-11, 195-pound forward has 174 games of AHL experience, having played with the Manchester Monarchs, Chicago Wolves and St., John's IceCaps. His best season came in 2014-15 with the Monarchs, recording 32 points (14g, 18a) and played in 18 play off games en route to a Calder Cup Championship.

The Thunder remains home to face the Missouri Mavericks on Friday night starting at 7:05 p.m.
