Lancaster, CA. - In the three-game series finale, the Modesto Nuts were shutout 6-0 against the Lancaster JetHawks on Thursday night at The Hangar. Jesus Tinoco (W, 1-0) tossed the first shutout against the Nuts (20-14) this season working seven-nearly-perfect innings. Tinoco retired the first 20 he faced before Eric Filia broke up the perfect game bid with a two-out single into centerfield. Tinoco finished after seven shutout innings without a walk and with four strikeouts. Nathan Bannister (L, 2-2) started for the Nuts (20-14) and worked 4 1/3 innings allowing nine hits with a season-high three walks and four strikeouts. Yonathan Daza delivered a pair of RBI singles. Wes Rogers added a RBI single and Brendan Rodgers reached three times with a double and a run scored.
