Noel Reassigned to Indy

ROCKFORD, Ill. - The Chicago Blackhawks today announced they have reassigned forward Nathan Noel from the American Hockey League's Rockford IceHogs to the ECHL's Indy Fuel.

Noel, 20, was originally reassigned to the IceHogs on Feb. 1 and collected one goal with seven shots and 18 penalty minutes in 17 AHL games. He made his AHL debut on Feb. 13 vs. the Cleveland Monsters and scored the game-winning tally for his lone AHL goal in a 4-3 win vs. the San Antonio Rampage on Feb. 18.

The St. John's, Newfoundland native returns to the Fuel where he has logged nine points (4g, 5a) and 18 PIMs in 17 ECHL contests this season. Noel made his professional debut with Indy this season on Nov. 11 at Quad City and tallied his first pro point via a shorthanded goal during his two-goal game on Nov. 17 at Kalamazoo. Including that contest, the winger has posted three multi-point efforts with the Fuel thus far this season.

Noel was originally selected by the Chicago Blackhawks in the fourth round (113th overall) of the 2016 NHL Draft.
