HUNTSVILLE, AL - The Huntsville Havoc announces a new season of rewards for fans using the official mobile app powered by Simple Helix.
The app, available for iOS or Android devices here, offers exclusive content, breaking news, score updates, game schedule, the latest standings, and the team roster. It also offers contests, in-game promotions, and exclusive rewards for loyal fans.
"We introduced this innovative tool to reach our fans last season," said Ashley Balch, president of the Huntsville Havoc. "It was very successful, and we received a lot of great feedback and suggestions to improve the experience. We have made some changes to the app this year to allow everyone an opportunity to earn more rewards and learn more about the team."
Some of the promotions from last season will return, such as checking in at Pharmacy First ice, predicting the first goal, and the trivia question. Fans will also be able to earn points by making a purchase at the merchandise stand, joining the Havoc Booster Club, testing driving a car at Bill Penney Toyota or taking the family to Humphrey's restaurant in downtown Huntsville.
As the season progresses, the Havoc will add new ways to earn points and more rewards and experiences. Fans can cash in those reward points for gift cards, tickets to a future game, autographed pucks or jerseys. The team is also offering the chance to take a selfie with your favorite player, hang out on the bench during warm-ups before the game, take over the microphone and help pump up the crowd, or have the Havoc mascots - Chaos and Ruckus - deliver a pizza right to your seat.
There may be a limited number of rewards or experiences and they are subject to change without notice, but the Havoc will be sure there to reward their loyal fans throughout the season.
In fact, Havoc fans can earn their first points toward this year's rewards right now by going to "My Rewards" in the app and entering the promo code trickortreat.
The Huntsville Havoc start the home schedule on Friday, Nov. 3 at 7 p.m. when the Fayetteville Marksmen visit the VBC. The first 2,000 fans that night will receive a magnetic schedule courtesy of Huntsville Hospital Sports Center and TOC Sports. The team is also offering an opening night "Family 4 Pack." Fans can go to the Havoc office to purchase four general admission tickets, four sodas and a large popcorn for only $40.
