The Rochester Red Wings announced today that Kansas City Chiefs tackle Branden Albert will sign autographs at Frontier Field on Monday, July 20th when the Red Wings battle the Pawtucket Red Sox at 7:05 p.m. Albert\'s appearance is courtesy of Basch & Nickerson LLP.
Prior to throwing out the ceremonial first pitch, Albert will sign autographs in the main concourse from 6:00 p.m. to 6:45 p.m.
Born in Rochester, Albert 24, was a 1st round pick (15th overall) of the Kansas City Chiefs in the 2008 NFL Draft. Albert, a former East High student, moved to Maryland after his sophomore year.
Albert is in town for "Branden Albert Kid\'s Day" at the Carlson Metrocenter YMCA on Sunday, July 19. Branden is reaching out to Rochester area children and encouraging them to stay in school and away from drugs.
In addition, Albert and 40 children who attend Branden Albert Kid\'s Day at the downtown YMCA will enjoy the Monday, July 20th game at Frontier Field from the Patio Enclosures Power Alley Grille in right field.
Albert is also very involved in community work back in Kansas City. He visits children at Mercy\'s Children Hospital in the Kansas City area and is involved with the Kansas City Chiefs Love Fund for Children which provide pizza parties and tickets for children to attend Kansas City Chiefs games.
