Newport Gulls News Release

NEWPORT, R.I. - Just in time for the holidays, the Newport Gulls have partnered with Bailey T's to launch the team's Official Online Fan Store.

Fans can now order their favorite Gulls gear to survive the winter while they wait for the 2016 summer collegiate baseball season via the recently launched store, located at newportgulls.com and baileytsnewport.com.

In addition to caps, T-shirts, and polos, the new online store features cold-weather Gulls attire, including hoodies, jackets, and beanie hats, so Gulls fans can now show off their team pride year-round. Souvenirs, including Gulls stickers, magnets, logo baseballs, and pint glasses are also available, and make great stocking stuffers.

With more than a dozen products offered at launch in the online store, there's sure to be something for any diehard Gulls fan to enjoy - and Bailey T's plans to add additional Gulls gear in the months ahead. A portion of all sales of team merchandise goes to support the operation costs of the non-profit, community-based Newport Gulls, who will kick off their 16th season in the City by the Sea next June.

Bailey T's, located just yards away from Cardines Field at 12 Long Wharf Mall in Newport, is locally owned and operated. Founded in 2009, Bailey T's has been the team's official provider of merchandise since the fall of 2012. In addition to offering Gulls gear in its Newport store, Bailey T's operates the Gulls souvenir stand in the ballpark on game nights during the summer season that runs from June through mid-August.

The Newport Gulls, members of the 12-team New England Collegiate Baseball League (NECBL), are a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, founded as the Rhode Island Gulls in 1998 in Cranston, R.I., before moving to Newport in 2001. In addition to recruiting, fielding, and developing a team of the nation's top collegiate baseball athletes and attracting 50,000 fans annually to Cardines Field, the predominantly volunteer organization strives to benefit the youth of Newport County via summer camps, reading programs, fundraisers, scholarships, and charitable donations - totaling nearly $1 million since 2001. The Gulls are six-time champions of the NECBL - the winningest franchise in league history - and were ranked as the overall No. 1 summer collegiate baseball team in the country by Perfect Game USA in 2012.
