NEW YORK, NY - May 2, 2013 - The New York Liberty finalized its 2013 training camp roster with the additions of Karisma Penn and Loree Moore. The team will open training camp on Monday, May 6 at the Madison Square Garden Training Center.

In addition to signing proven veteran free agents, Cheryl Ford and Katie Smith, New York has a strong returning core of players led by perennial All-Star Cappie Pondexter, Essence Carson, Plenette Pierson, Kara Braxton, Leilani Mitchell, Alex Montgomery and Kelley Cain. Bill Laimbeer makes his return to the WNBA in his first season as head coach and general manager of the Liberty. For her career she has averaged 6.0 points, 3.5 rebounds and 3.7 assists per game during the regular season. Moore also made three postseason appearances with the Liberty, averaging 7.8 points, 3.8 rebounds and 3.8 assists per game. She last played in the league in 2011, participating in training camp with the Los Angeles Sparks.

The Liberty will tip-off the 2013 season with back-to-back road preseason games on Saturday, May 11 at 7 p.m. against the Connecticut Sun, followed by a trip to Chicago to face the Sky on Wednesday, May 15 at 11:30 a.m. Exhibition play concludes on Saturday, May 18 at 4 p.m. at Prudential Center against the Sun.

This will mark the final season that the Liberty will call the Prudential Center in Newark, NJ home.
