New Orleans VooDoo to hold first annual “Yummy Mummy” contest Sunday

MotherÂ’s Day is a time when everybody pays tribute and shows appreciation to their moms and tells them that they are the best in the world. Everybody thinks that they have the sweetest mom or the cutest mom in the neighborhood.
This Sunday, at the New Orleans Arena, will provide them a public forum to prove that when the New Orleans VooDoo holds the first annual “Yummy Mummy” contest prior to the Mother’s Day game against the Orlando Predators. VooDoo fans are urged to bring their mom, wife, or themselves to compete.
All moms are invited to compete in the contest. The judging will occur at a stage at the front entrance to the New Orleans Arena from 1:00 – 1:30 p.m., prior to the team’s 2 p.m. game against Orlando. All moms who participate in the contest must dress in their favorite VooDoo attire or colors to be eligible.
Following the pre-game judging, six finalists will be chosen to go onto the field at halftime to be judged by the VooDoo crowd. The winner and finalists of the “Yummy Mummy” competition will receive great prizes, including dinner certificates from Dickie Brennan’s restaurants.
Come see the New Orleans VooDoo on their drive to bring an Arena Bowl Championship to New Orleans when they host Southern Division rival Orlando on Sunday at 2 p.m. at “the Graveyard”, also known as the New Orleans Arena. The first 10,000 fans that enter the Arena will receiver a free pair of Thunder Bones to use to cheer the home team on to victory.
