New Additions to the Rockland Boulders Front Office

POMONA, NY- The Rockland Boulders announced today the promotion of Nick Barbalato to Assistant General Manager/Facility Operations Manager, as well as Michele Almash to Director of Finance along with the addition of five members toof their 2017 Front Office Staff.

Barbalato, the 2016 Boulders Employee of the Year, enters his fifth year with the team and fourth as a member of the front office. Starting with the Boulders in 2012 as an intern, he became Facilities Operations Manager in 2014, overseeing the daily maintenance and upkeep of Palisades Credit Union Park. His new duties will feature a more prominent role in the day-to-day operations of the team, including youth baseball initiatives, while assisting upper management with strategy and planning.

"As a Hudson Valley native I'm committed to keeping Palisades Credit Union Park one of our nation's finest athletic facilities and one that area residents can be proud of," Barbalato said. He is a 2013 graduate of St. Thomas Aquinas College in Sparkill, NY.

Almash enters her sixth year with the team having started as a part-time bookkeeper in 2011, while eventually working her way up to payroll manager before her most recent promotion. Her new duties will include managing the accounting department, while also taking the lead role on the annual audit.

Brett Kaufman, John Patterson, Danyel dDel Rosario, Jack Trois, and Lindsey Ward and Danyel Del Rosario have all joined the team as well to help Boulders fans "Experience the FunShine" in 2017.

Kaufman returns as Box Office Manager for the 2017 season. He will oversee the daily operation of the Palisades Credit Union Park box office while developing new ticket strategies and sales initiatives. Kaufman, one of the original members of the Boulders front office, previously served as Box Office Manager for the 2014 and 2015 seasons.

Patterson joins the Boulders with more than a decade of experience in professional sports and entertainment. He will serve as the Promotions and Public Relations ManagerDirector of Communications and Promotions, responsible for all of the theme nights, giveaways, and entertainment seen during Rockland home games. He will also be responsible for media relations - including the team's website and social media pages. John is a native of New Jersey and has previously worked with the Newark Bears, and New Jersey Nets and New Jersey State Fair Meadowlands.

Danyel dDel Rosario will assist Patterson. A veteran within the organization, she has served in several roles within Palisades Credit Union Park since it's opening in 2011. Danyel has spent time not only with the Boulders, but with Ovations Food Services (now known as Spectra). Along with helping in the Promotions Department, she will also serve as Manager of Director of Corporate Fulfillment for the team.

Jack Trois joins the team as an Account Executive. An intern for the Boulders in 2015, Trois spent last summer interning for the Lehigh Valley Ironpigs. From Stony Point, he will work within the Boulders Sales Department, helping to ensure a tremendous day of family-friendly fun at the ballpark selling groups, birthday parties, ticket packs, season tickets, mini-golf outings and more.

Lindsey Ward, currently a senior at Kean University in New Jersey, will serve as the team's Social Media Coordinator, overseeing the daily activities of the team's social media outlets. She will also develop and implement new social media strategies to engage Boulders fans across all platforms both outside and during the season. Ward has experience writing for area publications in her home state of New Jersey and embarks on her first season in professional sports.
