Nestrasil Reassigned to Grand Rapids

Toledo, OH - Forward Andrej Nestrasil has been reassigned by the NHL's Detroit Red Wings to the Grand Rapids Griffins of the American Hockey League.

Nestrasil is leading Toledo in scoring with 41 points (11g, 30a) in 40 games. The Prague, Czech Republic native has 1 assist this year in 6 games with Grand Rapids. The 22 year old started his professional career with Toledo last season, posting 29 points (7g, 22a) in 51 games.

The Griffins are at home this week as they host Lake Erie on Friday and Charlotte on Sunday.

Toledo Walleye return home for Hockey Heritage Weekend in Toledo on Saturday, February 16 and Sunday, February 17. The alumni team plays its first ever game at the Huntington Center against the Fort Wayne Komets on Sunday at 2 p.m. A ticket to Sunday's Walleye game also gets you into the Alumni game.
