Nailers Acquire Rights to Tuzzolino from Alaska

WHEELING,WVA - The Wheeling Nailers, the proud AA affiliate of the Pittsburgh Penguins, have bolstered their blue line via a trade with the ECHL's Alaska Aces. The Nailers have acquired the rights to talented defensemen Nick Tuzzolino in exchange for future considerations.
Tuzzolino, 24, is a 6' tall left-handed shooter who was a seventh round draft pick of the New York Islanders in the 2005 NHL entry draft.
Tuzzolino has played the last two seasons in the ECHL with Alaska and also spent time in the International Hockey League with the Flint Generals. The Buffalo, NY native scored 9 goals and 22 assists in 70 games with the Alaska Aces last season.
The Wheeling Nailers will open their 19th season of professional hockey in the Ohio Valley on Friday October 15th against the Toledo Walleye. Ticket packages for the 2010-2011 season are on sale now.
