Mustang Volley Sets up in Saskatoon this Weekend

SASKATOON - The 31st Invitational Mustang Volley tournament hosted by Mount Royal Collegiate gets underway with round robin action on Thursday October 20. Teams from Alberta and Saskatchewan will be represented in this year's tournament.

Vance Booth has taken over tournament planning from the 30 year veteran Keith Cote. Booth said, " Taking over the tournament from Keith has been a big undertaking, there are a lot of jobs involved to run a tournament of this size. With the help of our great staff at Mount Royal; who have been involved in this tournament for the past number of years we should have another smooth year."

There are three pools of four teams on each the girls and boys side of play. Once the round robin finishes teams will be reseeded into two pools of six teams (champion/consolation). The new 6 team pool will then resume play and the top four teams for each will advance to playoffs.
