Fargo Force News Release

After an action packed 8-2 win over Sioux City heading into the holiday break, spectators hoped that tonight's showing would be just as thrilling. However tonight's game was much quieter on the ice. The first period was full of nice clean plays, however Sioux City's defensemen relentlessly put their bodies in front of the net stopping all Fargo's attempts. Finally Sioux City got their chance as Jacob Wilson tipped a puck off Wischow's glove and into the top corner of the net at 11:44 in the first.

The second period is where action began to pick up. Where there weren't goals, there was tension and scuffles on the ice. The tension turned to momentum as play and speed on the ice began to pick up and blood began to boil, sending player after player into the penalty box. Just when it seemed as if the game was going to turn in Fargo's favor, Sioux City's Alex Steeves rifled a puck into the top corner of the net. Fargo went into the third down 0-2.

The third had a lot of back and forth play as the Force battled to get on the board. Finally they were able to capitalize and Blake Lizotte notched a clean wide-open goal, assisted by Jack Adams and Griffin Foulk. The Force fed on the excitement from the goal and played well but were unable to score a second goal. Sioux City answered back with an empty-netter with a minute to go ending the game 3-1, a much different turn out from the last time Fargo took on Sioux City.

The Fargo Force take on the Des Moines Buccaneers on New Years Eve, December 31st at 6:05pm! Tickets are available at the Scheels Arena Box Office, tickets300.com, or the Tickets300 location on Broadway. Box office hours are Monday-Friday 11:00am-6:00pm.
