Munce Reassigned to AHL's Norfolk Admirals

BILOXI, MS - The Mississippi Sea Wolves announced on Wednesday that goaltender Ryan Munce has been reassigned to the Norfolk Admirals of the American Hockey League by the Tampa Bay Lightning and that Jody Green has been added to the roster as emergency backup goaltender.

Munce, a 6-foot-2, 180-pound native of Mississauga, Ontario, will join Norfolk for his third stint with the team. He has appeared in nine games with the Admirals this season, posting a 2-6-0 record with a 2.99 goals-against average and a .901 save percentage. Munce registered his first career AHL victory on October 13 with the Admirals at Albany.

Munce has appeared in 33 games with the Sea Wolves this season posting an 18-15-0-0 record with a 2.80 goals-against average and a .919 save percentage. The 23-year-old netminder was acquired by the Lightning from the Los Angeles Kings on January 20, 2007, in exchange for a 2008 fourth-round draft pick.

Green, a native of Gulfport, dressed for one game earlier this season as an emergency backup for Mississippi.

The Sea Wolves are back in action tonight at 6:05 p.m. CDT at Columbia! Catch the game on 1640-AM WTNI with the Leif Skodnick. The pregame show will begin at 5:35.

NOTE: Fans attending the games on Thursday and Saturday should allow extra time to arrive at the arena and park due to construction on U.S. 90 in Biloxi.
