Mud Hens Host Two, Four-Game Series at Home

The Mud Hens are returning to Toledo to take on the Syracuse Chiefs and the Norfolk Tides. This is the first time the Hens have faced either of these two teams in the 2007 season. The Hens start the series off by facing the Chiefs in a four-game series from June 5-8. Toledo will follow that series up with a four-game series against Norfolk from June 9-12. Syracuse is currently in fifth place in the IL North and Norfolk is in third in the IL South. This homestand will feature appearances by Reggy, George Jetson and Ronald McDonald, in addition to four installments of the High School Home Run Derby, an autograph Sunday and Kids Run the Bases Sunday, scout nights and post-game fireworks after three games!

Toledo Mud Hens Promotions for June 5 - June 12

Tuesday, June 5: (Syracuse, 1st pitch @ 7 p.m.) - This game will be the first of a four-game series against the Chiefs. The contest between the Hens and Chiefs can be heard live on Sports Radio 1470 AM - The Ticket and seen on tape delay on BCSN at midnight.

Wednesday, June 6: (Syracuse, 1st pitch @ 7 p.m.) -The first 2,400 fans will receive a lei as they enter the gates at Fifth Third Field. The lei giveaway is in conjunction with the Hens Hawaiian Night. Fans can hear all of the action live on Sports Radio, 1470 AM - The Ticket or see the game on tape delay on BCSN at midnight.

Thursday, June 7: (Syracuse, 1st pitch @ 7 p.m.) - Reggy, the purple party dude, will be at the game to provide entertainment for the whole family. Immediately following the game, Bowling Green High School will take on Maumee High School in the High School Home Run Derby. Fans can hear all of the action live on Sports Radio, 1470 AM and live on BCSN.

Friday, June 8: (Syracuse, 1st pitch @ 7 p.m.) -The final game of the series with the Chiefs concludes on a night full of action at Fifth Third Field. This night is Family and Child Abuse Awareness Night at the park. Another installment of the High School Home Run Derby will follow the ballgame, between Lima Bath High School and Bryan High School. Post-game Fireworks, courtesy of The Pharm will light up the sky after the derby. There will also be a Scout Sleepover for boys following the game. Saturday, June 9: (Norfolk, 1st pitch @ 7 p.m.) - This will be the first game of a four-game series against the Norfolk Tides. Prior to the game, there will be a scout parade and former Hen, Steve Green, will receive his 2006 Toledo championship ring. Immediately following the game there will be a home run derby between Liberty Center and Whitmer High School. Following the derby there will be post-game fireworks. The second scout sleepover of the homestand, this one for girls, will follow the game. Fans can hear all of the action live on Sports Radio, 1470 AM and live on BCSN.

Sunday, June 10: (Norfolk, 1st pitch @ 6:30 p.m.) - The first 3,000 fans at the game will receive Martian Antennas, which is in conjunction with the "It Came from Outer Space Night" at Fifth Third Field. George Jetson will be at the game courtesy of Buckeye Cablesystem and Cartoon Network. As with every Sunday at Fifth Third Field, there will be a Blade Baseball/Cheer Card giveaway. In addition, two members of the Mud Hens will sign FREE autographs for fans in section 119 of the main concourse from 5:45-6:15 p.m. Sundays also feature Kids Run the Bases day, where kids can line up after the game and run around the bases just like the Hens. Also, it will be a ProMedica Screening Sunday. Another installment of the High School Home Run Derby will follow the ballgame, between Clay High School and Woodward High School. Post-game fireworks will light up the sky after the game.

Monday, June 11: (Norfolk, 1st pitch @ 7 p.m.) - This game will feature an appearance by Ronald McDonald. You can catch all of the action live on Sports Radio, 1470 AM - The Ticket and on tape delay on BCSN at midnight.

Tuesday, June 12: (Norfolk, 1st pitch @ 7 p.m.) - This is the final game against the Tides and the final of the eight-game homestand for the Hens. You can catch all of the action live on Sports Radio, 1470 AM - The Ticket or on tape delay on BCSN at midnight.
