More arena agreements announced

July 15, 2005 - Continental Indoor Football League (CIFL) News Release

The Great Lakes Indoor Football League is excited to announce arena exclusivity deals with the McMorran Place Arena in Port Huron, Michigan and the Veterans Memorial Coliseum in Marion, Ohio. These agreements allow the GLIFL to exclusively search for an owner in the Port Huron and Marion markets.

The GLIFL is currently searching for quality local owners in both markets. The league realizes the importance of securing local ownership for the long-term success of the franchises. "Our number one priority is finding local ownership," says founding partner Eric Spitaleri. "Our goal is to build something special with our league and our teams, and the best way to do that is to have owners that have a connection with the community.

Port Huron and Marion give the GLIFL a total of six arena exclusivity deals. The league now has deals with the following arenas:

-ESL Sports Centre - Rochester, NY

-Kellogg Arena - Battle Creek, MI

-McMorran Place Arena - Port Huron, MI

-Palmer Arena - Danville, IL

-Toledo Sports Arena - Toledo, OH

-Veterans Memorial Coliseum - Marion, OH

The GLIFL is scheduled to kick off in April of 2006. The 2006 season will be the first indoor football action in Marion and Port Huron. The league will play a ten game regular season, with all teams playing five home and away games.
