Moose Release Petruic From PTO

The Manitoba Moose today announced they have released defencemen Neil Petruic from his professional tryout contract.

Petruic, 27, played in 13 games with the Moose since signing his PTO on Oct. 13/09. In that span, he collected two points (1g & 1a) along with eight penalty minutes.

Last season, the Regina, SK native played in 64 games with the Binghamton Senators and recorded one goal and seven assists for eight points and 62 penalty minutes. He has appeared in 202 career AHL games - between Binghamton and Manitoba - where he's collected 27 points (4g & 23a) and 190 penalty minutes.

Petruic was drafted by the Ottawa Senators in the eighth round, 235th overall, in the 2001 NHL Entry Draft.
