Trenton, NJ - Yoan Moncada hit two homers and drove in four runs, leading the Portland Sea Dogs (35-59) to an 11-4 win over the Trenton Thunder (57-38) on Monday night at Arm & Hammer Park. The multi-homer game was the first of Moncada's career.

Jalen Beeks (1-2) put together his finest Double-A outing, working a season-high 6 innings on 7 hits and 2 runs, earning his first Double-A win. Beeks allowed solo-homers to Lane Adams and Kyle Higashioka.

Portland built an early 2-0 lead off losing pitcher Jordan Montgomery (8-4). Mauricio Dubon scored on a wild pitch and Rainel Rosario delivered a run-scoring single. Montgomery fanned 10 batters over 5.1 innings on 6 hits and 4 runs.

Trenton tied the game on the homers by Adams and Higashioka, but Portland's offense took over in the sixth, scoring four times. Ryan Court and Aneury Tavarez had RBI singles and All-Star Catcher Jake Romanski nailed a two-run single.

Moncada hit his first homer in the seventh, an opposite-field shot off righty Matt Wotherspoon. In the eighth, Moncada blasted a three-run shot down the right-field line off Travis Hissong.

Portland had 14 hits and lead the league with 21 homers this month. Dubon and Tavarez each had three hits. With a win tomorrow night, the Sea Dog will clinch just their second road-series win this season.

RHP Mitch Atkins (2-4, 5.33) takes on RHP Ronald Herrera (6-6, 4.42). Pregame coverage on the WPEI U.S. Cellular Sea Dogs Radio Network begins at 6:40 PM.
