WEEK IN REVIEW The Monarchs hit the road for two games last week, and came out with a 2-0-0-0 record.

Friday night, the Monarchs made their way to Norfolk, Va., to take on the Admirals for the first time this season. After conceding the first goal of the game, Cory Ward brought the Monarchs back to even on his 5th goal of the season. The Monarchs then allowed three consecutive goals before scoring four consecutive of their own. Alex Guptill and Quentin Shore (2 goals) brought the Monarchs back to even before Alexx Privitera scored the game-winner in overtime. Jack Flinn got the win in his first game back after being loaned from Ontario (AHL).

Saturday night, the Monarchs took their show to Reading, Pa., and beat the Royals, 6-4. After a scoreless 1st period, the teams combined for five goals in the 2nd period, including four goals in the first 2:45 of the frame. The Monarchs took a two-goal lead early in the third period but Reading would not go away, scoring twice in the last 10 minutes of the game to get within one, but Joey Diamond sealed the deal for the Monarchs with an empty-net goal at 19:34. Sam Brittain got the start and grabbed his 4th win of the season.

WHERE WE STAND The Monarchs enter the week in sole possession of 2nd place in the North Division (15 pts.), trailing the Adirondack Thunder by two points. With Reading coming in for three games this week, the Monarchs could create some separation between themselves and the Royals.

LEADING THE WAY After a five-point weekend, Joey Diamond now sits atop the Monarchs scoring list with 12 points (6g, 6a). Justin Gutierrez's 11 points (3g, 8a) puts him 2nd in scoring in his rookie campaign, while Daniel Ciampini (5g, 5a) and Justin Agosta (2g, 8a) are tied for 3rd on the Monarchs with 10 points each.

READING TO THE CLASS The Monarchs and Royals will start their three-game series with a Wednesday morning showdown on Education Day. The Royals will make their first trip to Manchester this season, after losing the first two meetings between the clubs in Reading by a combined score of 11-5.

MULLETS AND MOUSTACHES Saturday night, the SNHU Arena will be filled with mullets and moustaches, as the Monarchs host the annual Mullets in Movember game to benefit the American Cancer Society. The first 4,000 fans in attendance will receive a mullet wig, and all in attendance will get to see the second and third-highest scoring teams in the Eastern Conference in the Royals and Monarchs.

TICKETS The Monarchs return to SNHU Arena on Wednesday, Nov. 16 (10 a.m.) when they take on the Reading Royals on Education Day.

Mullets in Movember is right around the corner, as the Monarchs and Royals bout again Saturday, Nov. 19 (6 p.m.). Help the Monarchs raise funds and awareness for men's cancers, with proceeds from the game going to the American Cancer Society.

The Front Office is offering a Mullet Pack for Saturday night that includes a ticket to the game, a flex voucher to a future game, a mullet t-shirt and a donation to the American Cancer Society.
