Monarchs Swap Players With Reading

MANCHESTER, NH - The Manchester Monarchs, the primary affiliate of the Los Angeles Kings, have recalled right wing Vladimir Dravecky, left wing Petr Kanko and defenseman Jeff Likens from the ECHL's Reading Royals, Monarchs Director of Hockey Operations Hubie McDonough today announced. In addition, the Monarchs assigned left wing Ned Lukacevic to the Royals today.

Dravecky, 22, played in one game with the Royals and collected an assist. He has played in 24 games with the Monarchs this season and collected seven assists and 17 penalty minutes. The 5-foot-10, 185-pound native of Kosice, Slovakia, registered 23 points (9-14=23) and 16 penalty minutes in 52 games with Kosice of the Slovak Extaliga.

Kanko, 23, appeared in one game with the Royals and collected zero points. He has four assists and 35 penalty minutes in 22 games with the Monarchs this season. In 206 career games with the Monarchs, the 5-foot-10, 190-pound native of Pribram, Czech Republic, has 72 points (31-41=72) and 262 penalty minutes. Kanko also played in 10 games with the Kings during the 2005-06 season where he registered one point, his first NHL goal on December 16, 2005.

Likens, 22, has registered eight assists and 14 penalty minutes in 22 games with the Monarchs this season. In 15 games with the Royals, the 5-foot-11, 178-pound native of Barrington, Illinois, has five assists and six penalty minutes. In 32 games with the Monarchs over the last two seasons, Likens has 14 points (3-11=14) and 16 penalty minutes.

Lukacevic, 21, has spent 34 games with the Royals this season and recorded 21 points (10-11=21) and 36 penalty minutes. The 6-foot, 200-pound native of Podgorica, Serbia, played in 12 regular season games with the Monarchs during the 2006-07 season and collected one goal. In 87 games with the Royals over the last two seasons, Lukacevic has 17 goals and 28 assists for 45 points.
