WHERE WE STAND

The Monarchs (51 pts.) begin their three-game homestand atop the North Division by seven points over the Reading Royals and Brampton Beast, and two points behind the Eastern Conference leading Florida Everblades. Manchester starts the week 30 points clear of the Elmira Jackals.

LEADING THE WAY

Quentin Shore (13g, 17a) and Daniel Doremus (5g, 25a) are tied for the Monarchs scoring lead entering the weekend, both having scored 30 points this season. Doremus leads the team in helpers while Shore is in a tie for the lead in goals with Joey Diamond.

SHARING THE WEALTH

The Monarchs come into the weekend with the second-best goals per game in the league with 3.92. However, the Monarchs have only one player ranking in the top-50 in the league in points, with Quentin Shore in 50th with 30 points on the season.

SECOND IS THE BEST

Manchester is outscoring opponents by 22 goals in the second period this season, with 63 goals for and 41 goals against. Elmira has struggled in the second period, allowing 43 goals and scoring only 29 in the middle frame.

KINGS OVER JACKS

The Monarchs and Jackals are complete opposites in the North Division. The Monarchs enter the week first in the division in points, goals and goals against, while the Jackals are last in points and goals scored. As the week begins, the Monarchs have scored 145 goals compared to the 81 the Jackals have tallied. Elmira has shown fight in their five head-to-head matchups, however, as the Monarchs only hold a 3-2-0-0 record against the last-place team in the ECHL.

NO PLACE LIKE HOME

Manchester is currently on a season-long eight game winning streak at home and are outscoring opponents 40-20 during that streak. The Monarchs are one win away from this season's ECHL record of nine home wins in a row, held by the Tulsa Oilers.

ROAD WOES

Elmira has lost eight-straight road games dating back to December 16th when they suffered a 5-1 loss to the Monarchs at SNHU Arena. The eight losses tie their previous streak from Oct. 29-Dec. 9. The Indy Fuel have the longest winless streak on the road this season at 11 games.
