Monarchs Announce Roster Moves

MANCHESTER, N.H. - Manchester Monarchs Head Coach and Director of Hockey Operations, Rich Seeley, announced today that Colin Stevens has been reassigned to the Monarchs by the Florida Panthers (NHL), the team has signed Eric Schurhamer to a Standard Player Contract, Tony Turgeon has been recalled by the Springfield Thunderbirds (AHL), and Jonah Imoo has been traded to the Tulsa Oilers (ECHL).
The Monarchs are the ECHL affiliate of the National Hockey League's Los Angeles Kings and the American Hockey League's Ontario Reign.
Stevens, 23, returns to the Monarchs after being assigned to the Tulsa Oilers by the Springfield Thunderbirds on Nov. 11, and brings with him a 7-13-1 record, a 3.11 GAA and a 0.897 save percentage. Stevens spent the 2015-16 season with the Monarchs and posted a 15-9-2 record, a 2.77 GAA and a 0.908 save percentage in his rookie campaign.
The 6-foot-2, 181-pound native of Niskayuna, N.Y. played collegiately at Union College where he played 90 games in four seasons and posted a record of 53-24-6. In his junior season, Stevens back-stopped Union to their first NCAA National Championship.
Schurhamer, 23, signs with the Monarchs after spending four seasons at the University of Maine (H-East). With the Black Bears, Schurhamer scored 43 points on 10 goals and 33 assists in 126 career games, and was named an assistant captain this season.
The 5-foot-9, 187-pound native of St. Paul, Minn., split time between the Waterloo Black Hawks and Lincoln Stars (USHL) in the 2012-13 season, won two Minnesota State Championships with Saint Thomas Academy and was a Minnesota Mr. Hockey Finalist.
Turgeon, 27, heads to Springfield for the first time this season after scoring 11 points on one goal and 11 assists in 38 games with the Monarchs. Turgeon collected 79 penalty minutes and a -2 rating.
The 6-foot-4, 231-pound native of Grand Forks, N.D., has played 58 career AHL games between the San Antonio Rampage and Portland Pirates, along with 67 ECHL games with the Cincinnati Cyclones, Allen American and Monarchs.
Imoo, 22, heads to the Oilers after posting a 7-4-2 record, a 3.33 GAA and a 0.897 save percentage in 972 minutes with the Monarchs this season. Imoo is in his first full professional season, and played in two games for the Ontario Reign (AHL) this season.
