May 2, 2017 - Pacific Coast League (PCL1)
Albuquerque Isotopes News Release

On Saturday May 20, Major League Baseball Umpire Camps will travel to Albuquerque and hold a free, one-day clinic at Isotopes Park. The clinic is open to all ages and skill levels for those interested in becoming professional umpire. The clinic will run from 9 a.m. - 1 p.m., rain or shine. Attendees will receive a special ticket voucher, good for an $11 reserved level ticket for that night's game.

The Major League Baseball Umpire Camp offers umpires at all levels the chance of a lifetime by providing the services and expertise from some of the best umpire evaluators in the world, including former Major League umpire Ed Rapuano, Charlie Reliford, Ed Montague and many more.

In addition, Minor League Baseball Umpire Development supervisors bring their expertise to round out this fantastic staff. Whether you want to improve your skills at the amateur level or you aspire to become a professional umpire, the 2017 Major League Baseball Umpire Camps offers something for everyone.

At the Major League Baseball Umpire Camps, you will improve your plate work, improve your positioning for plays on the bases and strengthen your situation management skills. Attendees will also receive conditioning, nutritional, equipment and safety instruction.

If you are looking to umpire professionally, each camp serves as a prospecting clinic. Numerous attendees from previous clinics received scholarships and went on to the MLB Professional Mini-Camp in Ft. Myers, Florda.

No matter your experience level, attending a Major League Baseball Umpire Camp is a great chance for umpires and prospective umpires to learn former Major League greats what it takes to call a game behind the plate in the Major Leagues.

Space for the clinic is limited. To register, please contact Raquel Wagner at mlbumpirecamps@mlb.com. For more information, please visit www.mlbuc.com.
