Mke Wave Conquer Number One Kansas City to Secure Their Spot in Playoffs at Uw-Milwaukee Panther Are

Your Six-Time Champion Milwaukee Wave celebrate not only beating the number one ranked team in MASL Central Division, the Kansas City Comets, but also officially making it to Major Arena Soccer League playoffs. Final score of the game Milwaukee Wave 7, Kansas City Comets 5.

Milwaukee Wave midfielder, number 24 Max Ferdinand and forward, number 26 Ian Bennett scored two goals each. Other players that scored were defender, number 15 Edder Nelson, midfielder, number 10 Ricardo Sobreiera and second forward, number 7 Hans Denissen.

"This year more than the past two years making it to playoffs is really rewarding." Said Head Coach Giuliano Oliviero. "Just from the start of the year we stuck to the process and players got better not only individually, but as a team. If anyone came to our training sessions everyday they would see how special this group really is. Here we are sitting 13-6 with one game to play and we still got a shot at first place being in the playoffs. I couldn't be prouder of this team."

Playoff Tickets for your Milwaukee Wave go on-sale Tuesday February 21st at noon.

Season ticket holders will have the opportunity to purchase their tickets Monday, February 20th at noon. The date and the time of the game will be determined early in the week.

It will either be on Thursday, March 9th or Sunday, March 12th.

With the playoffs now in their future, the Wave get ready to take on the arch-rival Chicago Mustangs on Sunday, March 5th at 2:05pm for the Border Bowl.

"We're going to see where we stand come Sunday and we're going to evaluate our players to see where they're at." Said Oliviero. "We still have a shot for first place and we have to keep that in the back of our minds."
