Miracles Take Down Top-Seeded Lightning (Game Recap, Miracles vs. Lightning - April 10, 2016)

The Miracles and Lightning were neck and neck throughout the first quarter, with the Miracles gaining a slight edge going into the second quarter with a 30-24 lead. It was Dexter Strickland putting on a show for the Miracles pouring in 18 first quarter points, shooting 6 for 6 from the field, including 13 of the teams first 18 points. Mike Martin also had a big quarter for the Miracles chipping in 7 points off of the bench. For the Lighting it was Akeem Scott leading the way for his team with 6 points.

In the second quarter it was also a close battle, with the Lightning putting up only two more points than the Miracles. For the Miracles it was Tydran Beaty adding 6 points in the quarter. For the Lighting it was Stephen Maxwell leading the way with 12 points and 5 rebounds on the quarter. The score at the half was 55-51 in favor of the Miracles.

In the Third quarter this game stayed close with the Miracles only out scoring the Lighting 24-20. This quarter was the Dexter Strickland show once again as he poured in 11 points, giving him 32 points in the first three quarters. Mike Martin also added 6 points in the quarter off the bench, including a huge three pointer near the end. For the Lightning it was Warren Ward chipping in with 6 points in the quarter.

In the fourth quarter it was all Miracles, as they out scored the Lightning 35-27. It was Dexter Strickland leading the way with 10 of his game high 42 points. Tydran Beaty also had a big quarter with 8 points, all being slam-dunks. For the Lighting it was Scott and Ward both adding in 6 points.

The Miracles claimed their 14th victory of the season, with a 114-98 victory over the London Lightning. For the Miracles it was Dexter Strickland leading the way with 43 points. Mike Martin and Will Creekmore also had big games off the bench, as Martin added in 14 points and Creekmore put in 10 points and grabbed a game high 13 rebounds. For the Lighting it was Stephen Maxwell with 19 points and 10 rebounds. Akeem Scott and Warren Ward both added in 11 points.

The Miracles next home Game is on April 20th against the Island Storm, Tipoff is at 7pm.
