FORT MYERS, FL - The St. Lucie Mets dropped the second game of the series with the host Fort Myers Miracle, 6-0, at Hammond Stadium on Friday.
Kennys Vargas had a two-out, tiebreaking single to right-center to score Miguel Sano in the sixth inning off Mets starter Noah Syndergaard.
The Miracle pulled away with a five-run seventh inning against Mets relievers Pedro Feliciano and Chasen Bradford.
Syndergaard suffered his first loss of the season and allowed one run and eight hits while walking two and striking out five over six innings.
Feliciano recorded two outs in the seventh and gave up three runs-one earned on two hits.
Bradford allowed three hits and two runs and recorded the final out of the seventh.
Wanel Mesa tossed a scoreless inning in the eighth.
The Mets registered just six hits and only one extra-base hit in the game.
The Mets will look to bounce back against the Fort Myers Miracle in the series finale on Saturday at Hammond Stadium. The game is scheduled for 6:05 p.m. Robert Gsellman will make his second start of the season for the Mets.
