December 10, 2012 - North American Hockey League (NAHL)
Minot Minotauros News Release

For the second year in a row Minsk, Belarus, native and Minotauros forward Denis Dalidovichhas left the Tauros to compete on a world stage. Dalidovich is in France competing for his country in the IIHF U20 World Championships (Division 1 Group A).

This is the second year in a row that the 19-year-old has been selected for his country's U20 team and while he played well last year posting five points (2g 3a) in as many games he expects to be better this year. "Now I know what to expect," Dalidovich said last week before leaving to join his national team. While Team Belarus is certainly an all-star team of the nation's top talents the players are far from strangers despite playing for clubs all over the globe. Dalidovich explained, "I played with a few of the guys growing up, and mostly played against the rest."

This is the third time that Dalidovich has played for his country and while he explained that he is "proud to represent my home," he also said that being selected for his country's junior team "shows that my country believes in me."

Of course his teammates and coaches here in Minot believe in Dalidovich as well. Tauros head coach Marty Murray pointed out that "Denis has been playing some of his best hockey for us lately, while we definitely want whats best for him, its hard to see him go." Dalidovich had four points and was plus five over his last four games with the Tauros.

Dalidovich and Team Belarus began play on Sunday morning and through two games in the round robin are 2-0-0 and Dalidovich is +1 with an assist. Stay tuned to minotauroshockey.com and our Facebook page to keep up to date with Dalidovich and Team Belarus's progress.
