Martínez spent this past winter playing in Italy with Bracco Geas San Giovanni where in 26 games she averaged 12.3 points, 3.4 rebounds, 2.1 assists and a league-leading 4.73 steals per game. She also shot .376 percent from the floor, including a .341 percent clip from three-point range. Over the last six years, Martínez has played professionally in Italy (2009-10, Bracco; 2008-09, Famila Wuber Schio), Russia (2006-08, Dynamo Moscow) and Spain (2003-2006, Perfumerias Avenida). Martínez was a teammate of Lynx superstar Seimone Augustus in Moscow.

Martínez will report at the start of Lynx training camp, which begins on Sunday, April 25.

The Minnesota Lynx will tip off the team's 12th season of basketball in the Twin Cities with its Home Opener on Sunday, May 16 at 6:00 p.m. against the Washington Mystics.
