Miller and Knapp Named Part of "MISL Team of the Week"
(Rochester, NY) - The Major Indoor Soccer League (MISL) today announced the "MISL Team of the Week," which features Lancers Forward, Doug Miller and Defender Brayton Knapp.
This is Miller's second time this season receiving this honor. Last season, Brayton Knapp was named "MISL Defensive Player of the Month" in January. Each player earned five critical points in a game that saw the Lancers top a strong Chicago side 16-8 last Wednesday.
The Rochester Lancers also unveiled their field name prior to kickoff last Wednesday. The field will officially be called the "Christopher J. Wilmot Field at the BCA." Christopher Wilmot, along with his family and friends, graciously accepted this honor before the game.
Wilmot is also co-owner and President of the Rochester Lancers. "Chris has been one of the biggest supporters of Rochester soccer for years. He has been involved in every level of soccer and continues to have passion for the game," said Soccer Sam Fantauzzo.
The Lancers will face the Missouri Comets this Saturday at 7pm. There will be a Section V celebration prior to kickoff. Holley's Section V Boys Soccer Coach, Dan Orbaker, will be Honorary Captain to honor his 400th win as a coach.
Pre-Game Happy Hour will feature $2 beers from 5:30-7pm.
