Michaud Will Not Broadcast This Saturday

January 16, 2004 - American Hockey League (AHL) - Norfolk Admirals News Release

VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. – Pete Michaud, the Voice of the Norfolk Admirals, will be unable to broadcast the Admirals’ match at Binghamton on Saturday, January 17 at 7:05 p.m. due to a death in the family. However, the game will still be heard on the Admirals’ flagship station AM-1230 WJOI.

AM-1230 WJOI will simulcast the game as broadcast by Grady Whittenburg, the Voice of the Binghamton Senators (Ottawa), to ensure that Admirals fans will still be able to listen to the contest. Those with internet access can also listen to a cybercast of the game through www.sportsjuice.com.

The Admirals-Senators match is slated to face off at 7:05 p.m., with pre-game broadcast to begin approximately 15 minutes before the puck drops.

Michaud will broadcast this evening’s match up against the Lowell Lock Monsters (Carolina) at 7:00 p.m. and then return to the airwaves for Norfolk’s 1:05 p.m. contest at the Philadelphia Phantoms (Philadelphia) on Sunday, January 18.
