PORT ST. LUCIE, Fla. - Four St. Lucie Mets pitchers combined to toss a two-hit shutout in a 2-0 win over the Charlotte Stone Crabs on Thursday at Tradition Field.

Chris Flexen made it seven consecutive quality starts for the Mets staff by firing 6.1 scoreless innings. He gave up a hit to Riley Unroe, the first batter of the game, and did not allow another hit. Flexen walked two, struck out five and picked up his third win.

At one point Flexen retired 16 of 17 batters. Justin Williams reach on an error to start the seventh and Flexen was lifted after he got Mac James the fly out.

Robby Coles recorded the last two outs of the seventh. Ben Griset pitched a perfect eighth with a strikeout.

With Corey Taylor pitching in the ninth, the Crabs started the inning with Cade Gotta reaching on an error. Williams singled for just the second hit of the game. Taylor recovered by getting a ground out, pop out and fly out to end the game and collect his second save in as many days. Taylor leads the team with six saves.

Luis Guillorme went 3 for 4 and drove in both of the Mets runs. Champ Stuart led off the first with a walk and Guillorme plated him with a double off of Benton Moss.

In the fifth, Jhoan Urena worked on a one-out walk and took second and third on wild pitches by Moss. Guillorme brought Urena home with an infield single.

The Mets have scored just two runs in each of their last five games but they are 4-1 in that span. They remain in first place in the FSL South Division.

Stuart went 1 for 1 with a single and he walked three times.
