Central Islip, N.Y., - The three-time Atlantic League champion Long Island Ducks today announced that the Waddle In Shop, the team's official merchandise shop, will re-open for the holiday season on Saturday, December 2 at 10:00 a.m. The shop will remain open through Thursday, December 21, with hours of Monday through Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

The holiday store opening on Dec. 2 will feature visits from Santa Claus and QuackerJack, the seven-time "Best Long Island Mascot"! In addition, Ducks manager Kevin Baez is scheduled to be in attendance when the store opens at 10. Fans will be able to browse a wide range of BRAND NEW official Ducks and All-Star Game apparel such as jackets, pullovers, long-sleeve t-shirts and winter hats. In addition, there will be a Holiday Sale Table featuring special gifts, including Ducks fidget spinners, at marked down prices only available during that Saturday's holiday opening.

New for 2018, fans will have the opportunity to take home a special gift with them if they purchase a 2018 Ducks Mini Plan on Saturday, Dec. 2. Those reserving seats that day for one of our All-Star Summer mini plan packages will receive a FREE Long Island Ducks ornament to help celebrate the holiday season.

In conjunction with the store opening, the Ducks will be collecting new, unwrapped toys as part of the teams annual Holiday Toy Drive. Fans are encouraged to drop off gifts at the Waddle In Shop between Saturday, Dec. 2 and Tuesday, Dec. 19. The toys will then be delivered by members of the Ducks Street Team to the pediatric units at various hospitals on Long Island. Pediatric patients range from newborn to 24 years of age, and hospitals have made the following suggestions for gifts based on the age of patients:

Newborn-12 Months : Rattles, stuffed animals, board books, bibs

1-3 Years : Shape sorters, soft bath books, pop-up toys, ring stacks

4-7 Years : Board games, action figures, sticker sets, books

8-11 Years : Arts and crafts kits, board games, card games, new release videos (G & PG)

12-18 Years : Music/movie gift certificates, electronic games, journals, sports items, new release videos (PG & PG-13)

18 and Up : Restaurant/music/movie gift cards, new release videos or DVDs, comfort items, sports items

Gifts for Any Age : Pillows, blankets, gift cards, holiday items, disposable cameras
