Media Advisory Cayden Primeau Selected for 2016 CCM/USA Hockey

Lincoln, Neb. - Cayden Primeau was selected to participate in the 2016 CCM/USA Hockey All-American Prospects Game in Philadelphia, Pa. on Sept. 22, USA Hockey announced on Wednesday.
Forty-two American-born players were picked to play in the game, including nine others from the USHL. All players are 2017 NHL Draft eligible.
Primeau was named to the Stars 30-man roster in August and is expected to make his USHL debut in September. The 6'4" 185 pound goalie posted a 1.86 GAA and .951 save percentage through 21 games with the Philadelphia Revolution (EHL) last season.
"This is certainly a great honor for Cayden to represent the Stars and himself," Stars coach Chris Hartsburg said. "We are excited to see him grow this season leading into next summer's NHL draft."
The Northeastern commit represented Team USA at the 2016 Ivan Hlinka Memorial Cup, helping the Americans win the silver medal with a 2.59 GAA and a .897 save percentage through three games.
Entering its sixth year, the All-American Top Prospects Game has featured 74 NHL draft picks and 15 first-round selections. This year's game will be played in the Wells Fargo Center, home of the Philadelphia Flyers. Puck drop is set for 7:05 p.m.
Former Stars forward Ryan Poehling will also participate in the game.
The Stars will open the preseason on Friday, Sept. 2 against the Tri-City Storm in the Viaero Center. Full season ticket holders will receive complimentary tickets to preseason game on Sept. 16 th.
The Stars regular season home opener is set for Friday, Sept. 23 against the Storm. Individual tickets will go on sale to the general public on Wednesday, Sept. 7 at 10 a.m.
