McDonough, McNeill earn Covenant HealthCare Player of the Week honors

Spirit forward Ryan McDonough and defenseman Patrick McNeill have earned the Covenant HealthCare Players of the Week honors for the week ending October 16th.

McDonough had four goals and and two assists and was +4 in the Spirit's two games last weekend. McDonough is a 17 year old native of Etobicoke, Ontario in his second year in the Ontario Hockey League. The Spirit acquired him in a trade with Sudbury in June of 2005.

McNeill had one goal, two assists and was +2 in the Spirit's two games last weekend. McNeill was the Spirit's first pick, first overall in the 2003 Ontario Hockey League Priority Selection and was a fourth round pick of the Washington Capitals in the 2005 NHL draft. He is an 18 year old native of Strathroy, Ontario.
