Moose Jaw Warriors General Manager Alan Millar has announced that 16 year old Colton McCarthy has been called up for the remainder of the season.
McCarthy, who hails from Salmon Arm, BC, was listed by the Warriors and attended their 2012 Training Camp, he signed with the organization after camp was completed.
McCarthy played with the Nelson Leafs of the Kootenay International Junior Hockey League, in 25 games this season he scored 20 goals and was second in team scoring with 30 points. His 20 goals was tied for second in the league, he was second on the Leafs in power play goals (3), he was tied for the team lead in shorthanded goals (2), he led the team in game winning goals (2).
McCarthy played four games earlier this season with the Warriors, and will re-join the team Monday.
