HOW IT HAPPENED

Evansville got out to a very early lead in the game, as Dave Williams scored on the power play to put the Thunderbolts up 1-0. John Gustafsson answered, however, for the Mayhem, scoring his fourth goal in the last three games to make it 1-1. John Siemer and Dennis Sicard tallied the assists on the goal. Don Olivieri put Evansville back up one goal heading into the second period.
