Mayhem Make Slew of Roster Moves

MACON, GA- The Macon Mayhem and Director of Hockey Operations Kevin Kerr announced three different roster moves on Saturday afternoon, prior to the team's tilt against the Mississippi RiverKings. Forward Ryan Salkeld has signed a contract with the team after playing on two different three-game tryouts; defenseman Chris Joseph has been placed on the 14-Day Injured Reserve; and forward Joel Wetmore has signed a three-game tryout with the Mayhem.

Salkeld, 25, has played six games with the Mayhem this season, scoring one goal and recording one assist. The 6-2 forward from Portsmouth, VA began the season with the Fayetteville FireAntz, scoring one goal in six games.

The 25-year-old Joseph was activated off the IR on December 1st and has played 10 games on the season after being signed two games into the season. In his time this season, the 6-0, 183-pound defenseman has recorded two assists and a plus-four plus-minus rating.

Wetmore is a 6-0, 170-pound winger from Horseheads, NY. Prior to signing to a three-game tryout, he played seven games for the Elmira Jackals of the ECHL. The 25-year-old played four seasons for Utica College at the NCAA Division III level, serving as one of the team's assistant captains his final two seasons.

"Joel was a very good player at the collegiate level and spent time playing high-level hockey in Elmira this year," said Kerr. "He brings a lot of speed with his game and is a solid two-way player."

Wetmore will make his Mayhem debut tonight as the Mayhem take on the Mississippi RiverKings on Teddy Bear Toss Night.
