DALLAS-The Dallas Mavericks announced today that they have assigned guard/forward Rawle Marshall and center Pavel Podkolzin to the Fort Worth Flyers for the title game of the NBA Developmental League. The Flyers will take on the Albuquerque Thunderbirds in the 2006 NBA Development League Championship presented by Delta Air Lines on Saturday, April 22 at the Fort Worth Convention Center. Tipoff is set for 7 p.m. CT. Both Marshall and Podkolzin donned Flyers jerseys earlier this season and contributed to Fort Worth's league-best regular season record. In 21 games for Fort Worth, Marshall averaged 17.4 points, 4.2 points, 1.4 assists and 1.38 steals in 30.2 minutes per game. Podkolzin saw action in 11 Flyers games while registering 6.6 points and 5.8 rebounds in 18.6 minutes per contest. In the Mavericks regular season finale against the Los Angeles Clippers on Wednesday night, both Marshall and Podkolzin turned in career performances. Marshall scored a career-high 13 points, while Podkolzin hauled in a career-high 7 rebounds in 18 minutes of action.
