Mavericks Announce 2016 Training Camp Schedule

INDEPENDENCE, Mo. - The Missouri Mavericks announced today the schedule for their 2016 training camp. All practices are scheduled to be held at Centerpoint Medical Center Community Ice. All dates and times are subject to change.
"This is an exciting time of the year. We are eager to get training camp under way and get to work," said Mavericks general manager Brent Thiessen. "We anticipate a highly competitive camp this year so guys are going to have to work hard to earn their spots."
The Mavericks 2016 training camp opens on Friday, October 7 and continues through Thursday, October 13. The Mavericks will depart on Friday, October 14 for their season opening games on the road in Allen, Texas that are scheduled for Saturday, October 15 and Sunday, October 16.
Along with daily practices, the Mavericks will play their annual Orange-Black scrimmage, take part in the Kansas City Jr. Mavericks golf tournament and attend the annual season kickoff party at Red Robin. The full training camp schedule is as follows:
- Friday, October 7 - Kansas City Jr. Mavericks Golf Tournament @ 8:00 a.m., Drumm Farm Golf Course
- Saturday, October 8 - Practice @ 10:00 a.m., Centerpoint Medical Center Community Ice
- Sunday, October 9 - Practice @ 10:00 a.m., Centerpoint Medical Center Community Ice
- Monday, October 10 - Practice @ 10:00 a.m., Centerpoint Medical Center Community Ice
- Orange-Black Game @ 6:00 p.m., Silverstein Eye Centers Arena
- Tuesday, October 11 - Practice @ 10:00 a.m., Centerpoint Medical Center Community Ice
- 2016 Kickoff Party @ 6:00 p.m., Red Robin in Independence
- Wednesday, October 12 - Practice @ 10:00 a.m., Centerpoint Medical Center Community Ice
- Thursday, October 13 - Practice @ 10:00 a.m., Centerpoint Medical Center Community Ice
All Mavericks training camp practices are free and open to the public. Also free and open to the public are the Orange-Black game and the 2016 Season Kickoff Party at Red Robin in Independence.
In addition to the Orange-Black game, the Mavericks will have season ticket booklets available to pick up on Monday, October 10. Season ticket pick up begins at 4:00 p.m. inside of the South Entrance at Silverstein Eye Centers Arena.
