Mavericks Add Forward Brogan O'Brien on ATO

INDEPENDENCE, Mo. - The Kansas City Mavericks have added forward Brogan O'Brien on an amateur tryout, announced Wednesday by Mavericks head coach and director of hockey operations John-Scott Dickson.

O'Brien, 20, comes to the Mavericks from the Prince George Cougars of the Western Hockey League. In 52 games this season, the Prince George, British Columbia native tallied 41 points on 17 goals and 24 assists.

The 6-foot-3, 197-pound forward played three total seasons in the WHL, setting career highs of 71 games played, 18 goals and 38 assists in the 2015-16 season. His best per-game production came this year prior to joining the Mavericks.

O'Brien, listed as a center by the Cougars, finished fourth on the team in scoring.

The Mavericks begin a four-game road stretch with a Friday-Saturday double header at Allen and will next play at Silverstein Eye Centers Arena on Monday, April 2 against the Tulsa Oilers - a 7:05 p.m. puck drop.
