TEAM NOTES .

With his goal in tonight's match, Federico Higuain surpassed Stern John to take sole possession of third place on the list of all-time regular-season goal scorers for the Black & Gold with 45 goals in 138 regular-season appearances (133 starts). Through 15 appearances (all starts) in the 2017 MLS regular season, Federico Higuain has scored six goals and notched five assists.

Midfielder Justin Meram registered his sixth assist of the regular season in tonight's match against Colorado. Through 16 appearances (all starts) in the 2017 MLS regular season, Meram has registered eight goals and six assists. To date, Meram has tallied 32 goals and 32 assists in 170 regular-season appearances (118 starts).

Defender Harrison Afful reached a milestone with the club in tonight's match against Colorado, as he made his 50th appearance (49th start) for Crew SC. Through the 2017 MLS regular season, Afful has made 11 appearances (10 starts) for the Black & Gold.

Goalkeeper Zack Steffen tied his season and MLS regular-season career-high number of saves with five stops on the night. Steffen has started in all 16 of the Black & Gold's regular-season matches in 2017, recording 49 saves.

Tonight's match was the lone regular-season meeting between Crew SC and the Colorado Rapids this year and marked the 41st all-time regular-season meeting between the two clubs.

Next up for Crew SC is a road contest against FC Cincinnati on Wednesday, June 14 in the Fourth Round of the 2017 Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup (7:00 p.m. ET / Broadcast information to be announced at a later time).
