New Orleans Baby Cakes News Release
Game Keys - Zephyrs starter Tom Mastny dealt seven innings allowed one run and earned the win as the Zephyrs defeated Nashville 3-1 in front of 9,575 at Greer Stadium. The Z's offense was assisted by a pair of Sounds errors in the third inning. Mastny helped his cause with a leadoff hit, Gookie Dawkins doubled. A sacrifice fly from Logan Morrison scored the first run, but two errors by the Sounds shortstop Ray Olemdo allowed two unearned runs to score. Brendan Katin solo home run in the fourth inning provided the only offense for the Sounds. Dan Meyer retired the final two batters and earned his first save of the season.
Game Notes- Shortstop Donnie Murphy was promoted to the Marlins. Tim Torres replaces him from Class AA Jacksonville. The Z's have won back to back road series for the first time this season. The win gives the Zephyrs a record of 39-40, one game under .500.

The Zephyrs will start RH Rick VandenHurk (4-4, 6.09) against Royals RH Philip Humber (4-4, 4.37). Postgame Fireworks and concert by Local Option II. RADIO WMTI 106.1 FM, TV CST
