MASL Names Team of the Week for Week Fifteen

February 6, 2018 - Major Arena Soccer League (MASL) News Release

KANSAS CITY (FEBRUARY 6, 2018) - The Major Arena Soccer League (MASL) announced today the following players have been named to the Team of the Week for Week 15

The MASL Team of the Week is selected using the Stars awarded at each game and by soliciting nominations from each team. Players nominated by teams were each awarded three points and stars were awarded 3 points (1st Star), 2 points (2nd star) and 1 Point (3rd star) respectively.

GOALKEEPER:

Claysson de Lima (Ontario Fury) - The Ontario Fury got two big victories last week as they battle to remain in playoff position in the Pacific Division. De Lima was credited for both wins. Against the RGV Barracudas, de Lima posted an incredible .826 Save Percentage

DEFENSE:

Ben Ramin (Syracuse Silver Knights) - This is the second Team of the Week award for Ramin. The Silver Knights defender continues to impress, this time scoring two goals at home to help his side defeat the visiting Rampage.

Pat Healey (Baltimore Blast) - Healey and the Blast remain undefeated in their new home at Towson University's SECU Arena. This week, Healey had two blocks and a goal on the way to the Blast's victory over the Syracuse Silver Knights

MIDFIELD:

Ouday Belhadj (Ontario Fury) - Belhadj first caught the eye of Ontario Fury GM Bernie Lilavois as he was earning MVP Honors at the World Mini Futbol Championships this summer. He has not disappointed since joining the Ontario Fury. In two games this past week, Belhadj scored six goals, including the game-winner against RGV.

FORWARD:

Nick Perera (Tacoma Stars) - Perera has almost doubled Tacoma's offensive production since he joined the team. Against the El Paso Coyotes on Friday night, Perera four goals and an assist to help his team keep pace in the division.

Leo Gibson (Kansas City Comets) - Leo Gibson helped the Comets playoff hopes alive as he scored four goals, including the game-winner, against the St Louis Ambush last week.

HONORABLE MENTION:

Jeff Richey (Kansas City Comets), Andrew Coughlin (Syracuse Silver Knights), Pablo da Silva (St Louis Ambush), Tony Donatelli (Baltimore Blast), Philip Lund (Tacoma Stars), Adrien Perez (Ontario Fury), Slavisa Ubiparipovic (Syracuse Silver Knights)
