MARVEL Super Hero Night at Victory Field Featuring Iron Man
May 21, 2016 - International League (IL1)
Indianapolis Indians News Release
It is a time of turmoil among the superheroes as Iron Man has fallen into a civil war among the Avengers. As the conflict continues, Iron Man has traveled all the way to Indianapolis and now it is up to Tribe fans to help him in the ultimate battle between good and evil.
On May 21, be sure to join the Indianapolis Indians for the second of three MARVEL Super Hero Nights, presented by the Community Health Network. During the game, Iron Man himself will greet fans and sign autographs, in between his quest for justice.
As well as meeting the heroes, the first lucky 2,500 fans into Victory Field will receive an Iron Man bobble head.
The Indians players and coaches will also try their hand in becoming heroes. Donning special jerseys, the team will be participating in a fundraiser to benefit a Central Indiana not-for-profit. These games also include an in-game, online auction where fans can own these game-worn, unique jerseys. On May 21, the Community Health Network Foundation will benefit.
The auctions are powered by Indianapolis-based Qtego. Fans are not required to be at Victory Field to bid and win; all they need is a mobile phone. Qtego notifies participants via text message throughout the online auction so opportunities to bid, re-bid or outbid others occur in real time. Bids during these auctions are accepted through the 7th inning. Fans at the game are invited to visit a bright orange Qtego display around the ballpark for assistance, while fans not in attendance may register via instructions that will be posted on the Indians website and social media threads.
In 2015 Indianapolis Indians jersey auctions raised more than $32,000 for local charities.
Iron Man is not be the only Avenger to make an appearance at Victory Field: fans will be able to meet the Hulk on June 25. Back on April 30, Captain America was at the beautiful downtown Indianapolis ballpark. Click here for more information.
Be sure to get your tickets now for any one of these exciting Super Hero nights! The Avengers await you.
