Marlies Recall Crescenzi, Devane, Owuya & Sign Grimshaw to PTO

The Toronto Marlies announced Tuesday, that the team has recalled forwards Andrew Crescenzi and Jamie Devane as well as goaltender Mark Owuya from their respective ECHL teams. The club has also signed defenceman Ryan Grimshaw to a Professional Try-Out (PTO).

Crescenzi, 20, has appeared in 23 games with the San Francisco Bulls (ECHL) this season registering 14 points (3 goals, 11 assists) and 28 penalty minutes. The 6-5, 208-pound native of Thornhill, Ontario was reassigned from the Marlies to San Francisco on November 9, 2012.

Devane, 21, has played in 12 games with the San Francisco Bulls (ECHL) this season recording 1 goal and 45 penalty minutes. The 6-5, 220-pound native of Mississauga, Ontario was reassigned from the Marlies to San Francisco on November 9, 2012.

Owuya, 23, has appeared in 6 games with the Las Vegas Wranglers (ECHL) posting a record of 3-3-0-0, with a goals against average of 2.97 and a 0.904 save percentage. The 6-2, 207-pound native of Stockholm, Sweden was reassigned from the Marlies to Las Vegas on December 13, 2012.

Grimshaw, 22, has played in 23 games for the Trenton Titans (ECHL) this season registering 6 points (3 goals, 3 assists) and 4 penalty minutes. Prior to turning pro, the 6-0, 200-pound Rochester, NY native played in 121 games registering 26 points (4 goals, 22 assists) and 85 penalty minutes at Harvard University (ECAC).

The Marlies return to the ice tonight when they take on the Hamilton Bulldogs, AHL affiliate of the Montreal Canadiens, at Copps Coliseum. Puck drop is set for 7:30 p.m. Toronto returns home on January 26 when they host the Wilkes-Barre Scranton Penguins, AHL affiliate of the Pittsburgh Penguins, at 5 p.m. Tickets are still available and can be purchased by calling the team's ticket line at 416-597-PUCK (7825).
