(November, 2018, York, Pa.) - The York Ice Arena announced today the hiring of Mark Skehan as General Manager. The long-time York City resident today completed his first week at the helm of the 16-year-old non-profit facility owned by the City of York and managed by the York Revolution.
Skehan operated his family-owned Dressel Welding Supply before selling the company in 2012. He stayed on as senior vice president of sales before leaving in 2015 after 33 years with the company.
A long-time hockey coach, Skehan also serves on the board of the York City Parks Conservancy and the city's Historic Architecture Review Board. He also coaches junior varsity baseball at York Catholic High School.
"After a national search, we were very lucky to find someone of Mark's knowledge and experience right here in York," said Eric Menzer, president of the York Revolution. "Mark brings to the arena a blend of business, customer service, ice sports, and community knowledge that has enabled him to hit the ground running in advancing the reputation of the York Ice Arena as a premier ice sports facility."
