Rio Grande Valley Killer Bees News Release
The Rio Grande Valley Killer Bees of the Central Hockey League (CHL) announced on Wednesday that forward Mark Magnowski (5'10, 184) has re-signed with the Killer Bees for their ninth season of play in 2011-12.
Magnowski suited up for 11 games for the Bees during the regular season last season and all three playoff games against Allen. In the combined 14 games Magnowski scored two goals and registered three assists.
Before joining the Bees Magnowski suited up for the Bakersfield Condors and Victoria Salmon Kings of the ECHL after finishing a four-year career at Princeton University. While at Princeton, Magnowski captured the Hobey Baker Trophy as the team's top freshman.
"I'm looking forward to seeing Mark on the ice," said Killer Bees General Manager and Head Coach Terry Ruskowski. "Mark has shown great offensive skills during his short career, and I think in a full-time role can really develop into a great player for us. At the end of the last season in the playoffs he was one of the Bees best with a goal and an assist in the three games. He will only continue to improve."
The Killer Bees ninth season of play opens October 21st at the State Farm Arena when the Bees host the Missouri Mavericks at 7:30 p.m. Full and half season ticket packages are now on sale by calling 956-843-7825 or visit the Killer Bees online at killerbeehockey.com.
