Marauders Turn Away Mets 8-3

Bradenton, FL - The Marauders (14-11) opened the month of May with an 8-3 win over the St. Lucie Mets (10-15) on Mon- day night at LECOM Park. LHP Taylor Hearn (W, 3-2) allowed a first inning home run but then settled in to strike out eight while hurling six innings. Bradenton capitalized on two Mets errors to score four times in the bottom of the third inning against Justin Dunn (L, 1-2).

The Marauders put the game out of reach with a four-run rally in the seventh. LF Logan Hill delivered a two-run double dur- ing the seventh inning rally. RHP Sam Street pitched two innings and allowed one run. LHP Jake Brentz pitched a perfect ninth inning.
