Marauders Meet Miracle Wednesday Night

April 26, 2017 - Florida State League (FSL) - Bradenton Marauders News Release

Fort Myers, FL - The Marauders (11-9) pummeled the Miracle (9-11) 16-2 on Wednesday night at Hammond Stadium.

Bradenton broke open a 2-1 game with five runs in the fifth and six more runs in the sixth inning. LF Logan Hill launched a two-run home run in the second inning, his third home run in the series and fifth of the season.

His homer provided the Marauders a narrow lead until CF Casey Hughston's two-run double in the fifth. That inning also featured a sacrifice fly for 1B Will Craig and a two-run triple by 2B Alfredo Reyes. Craig delivered the biggest blow of the sixth with a three-run double. He later added an RBI single in the eighth inning. LHP Taylor Hearn (W, 2-2) was sharp on the mound, whiffing six and not walking a batter over six innings. Hearn allowed four hits, two of which were in the first inning. RHP Bret Helton and RHP Yunior Montero also pitched for the Marauders. Montero struck out three in the ninth inning while surrendering an unearned run without a hit allowed. 3B Ke'Bryan Hayes had three hits and scored twice for Bradenton.
